I’m a pretty simple guy. I love my job, my wife, and my Savior. I’m a huge tech fan, especially if that tech has a fruit logo with a bite taken out. I believe that God intends for us to reach people with the power of the Gospel using all the innovation He throws our way. Yesterday it was Gutenberg, today it’s Jobs.
This is my personal blog. Here, I write about faith and ministry. My mission is to help pastors reach the peak of their effectiveness with the tools God has given them – their leadership position, the current technology around us, and practical lessons from experience.
I typically post twice a week. To make sure you don’t miss anything, you should subscribe in the site menu (top-right button).
I am the Middle School Pastor at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. Conway is a growing college town in he heart of Central Arkansas (or as we call it here, the 501). At Antioch, I work with a great team that pushes me each week to be a better pastor, husband, and man.
After graduation, I moved to Conway for the first time to attend Central Baptist College. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2008, God called me to serve at a wonderful church in the southwest Arkansas town of Prescott.
During my time at Central Baptist Church of Prescott, God grew me up in many ways – particularly through mentoring from the senior pastor, Perry Johnson. My four years there were some of the most formative years of my life.
In 2012, God called me back to Conway to serve at Antioch.
I have been married to my wife, Ashley for just about eight years. She’s a rockstar gal. I’m super thankful to share my life with her.
In my free time, I enjoy writing, doing some side hustle speaking and curriculum development, reading, and the occasional round of golf. I finished a Master’s Degree in Church Leadership at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014.
